The NEEC vision
The vision of the Norwegian Energy and Environment Consortium (NEEC) is to use Norway's energy and environmental legacy to promote a sustainable future for China and as a consequence, the rest of the world.
Creating win- win partnerships
NEEC's aim is to promote the successful advancement energy and environmental business partnerships between Norway and China, to the benefit of both countries by promoting existing Norwegian technologies and competence, and developing new solutions in partnership with Chinese clients adapted to the Chinese market and the current environmental and energy challenges faced by China today.
Critical mass to enter the market
NEEC's business idea is to create the necessary critical mass for the huge and demanding Chinese market through network building between the Norwegian suppliers. In addition, we can present integrated solutions that can serve several parts of the value chains.
Matchmaking and market knowledge
NEEC regularly arranges workshops, seminars and matchmaking events both in Norway and China serving as arenas for marketing and networking. We actively identify partnering and business opportunities for our members and provide support in the business development process. We also assist members in identifying commercial and non-commercial funding sources.
NEEC works proactively with stakeholders in the Norwegian energy and environmental community, including water and building technologies. We invite commercial, academic, public and institutional partners to become NEEC members.
Organisation
Norwegian Energy and Environment Consortium (NEEC) was established in 2005 and is operated by Innovation Norway on behalf of its members.
The NEEC members are actively invited to participate in shaping the consortiums development, strategies and activities through membership meetings, workshops and conferences.
NEEC is run on a daily basis through Innovation Norway's Beijing office at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in China. IN-Beijing employs the project managers and organizes the practical work and development process. IN’s other offices in China and North East Asia also support the activities where beneficial.
NEEC is financed through membership fees, as well as support from Innovation Norway.
NEEC operates within the legal and organisational framework of Innovation Norway to simplify the formal procedures and to keep a close link to the Norwegian industry support instruments. Therefore, Innovation Norway employs the consortium’s personnel resources, and hosts the consortium as a multi-client project.
